Synopsis

Lisa See is an American author known for her novels that explore the experiences of Chinese women and their families.

Born in Pasadena, California, See spent her childhood in Shanghai and Beijing. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in English.

See's first novel, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, was published in 2005 and became a bestseller.
